IPI Year-Long Fellowship Program
Learn how to resolve an expanded spectrum of root causes of mental illness with natural and pharmaceutical evidence-based practices, so your patients can achieve a genuine state of wellness.
Do you have patients suffering from treatment-resistance in your clinic?
Do many of your patients rely too heavily on medication and
miss out on a true state of wellness?
Do you believe there’s more to the story than what you were taught about the causes of mental illness, but you don’t have a comprehensive approach to help all of your patients reach their highest potential? It’s frustrating.
You became a psychiatric provider to heal others.
To eliminate resolvable mental health issues.
Conventional psychiatric techniques focus on symptom reduction, which has a time and place, but it will only get your patients so far.
Too many people never fully recover.
Many patients end up stagnating, believing their lackluster response to traditional psychiatric care is as good as it gets. They don’t realize there is another way to achieve high levels of stability, and, ultimately, a deeply gratifying experience of life.
What you weren’t taught in medical or graduate school, residency, or a fellowship program is that psychiatric symptoms arise from root causes, and patients are in desperate need of a new approach to address them.
The hard truth about mental illness
The field of psychiatry has achieved many important advances in technology and pharmacology over the last few decades. But despite these advances in psychiatry, it has become painfully clear the traditional approach is failing.
Depression is now the leading cause of disability worldwide and is predicted by 2030 to be the leading cause of the global burden of disease by the World Health Organization.
300 million people in the world suffer from depression, of which a third are not responding to conventional treatments. That’s 100 million people in desperate need for a better standard of care.
People aren’t getting better...
In fact, the patients who are resigned to simply “living” with serious mental illness because they’ve been unable to find relief, are dying an average of 25 years earlier, largely due to treatable medical conditions. It’s a sobering reality.
You already know the challenge of providing healthcare services to adults with a mental health condition, and it should come as no surprise that only 41 percent of patients receive any treatment at all. There is a growing and urgent need for more practitioners in this field, with a skillset, expertise and confidence to offer a better level of care.
“I spent 13 years at NIMH really pushing on the neuroscience and genetics of mental disorders, and when I look back…I don’t think we moved the needle in reducing suicide, reducing hospitalizations, improving recovery for the tens of millions of people who have mental illness.”
Tom Insel MD, former Provost of Harvard University, American neuroscientist and former Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) from 2002 until November 2015
There has to be a better way.
A way to help your patients overcome their mental illness for good.
A way to help your patients achieve a meaningful and fulfilling life.
A way to help your patients break through treatment-resistance.
It’s time to change the way psychiatric care is provided, for those who need it most.
Our goal is to equip psychiatric providers with the tools and expertise to confidently practice at the forefront of mental health care. Integrative psychiatry promises dramatic change for your patients’ lives as well as a path to greater career fulfillment for you as the provider.
In your heart, you already know there is a deeper level of wellbeing available for your patients, it’s time to introduce you to an evidence-based institution on the forefront of making this happen.

The Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) is an educational institution offering the most comprehensive evidence-based training in integrative psychiatry. Your patients will thank you.

Amna Ahmad, MD
The key to effective integrative psychiatry treatment
Instead of tackling symptoms alone, an integrative psychiatric practitioner makes a proactive leap towards holistic patient care. There are three core areas to guide a patient from illness into a genuine state of wellness…
Resolve the complex web of underlying physical causes with functional medicine techniques
Connect psychiatric symptoms with your patient’s belief systems and trauma history
Improve outcomes by addressing relationships, food choices, and other ecological factors
This is your chance to become a masterful integrative healthcare provider, learning from the leading experts in integrative psychiatry, so you too can become a leader in this field while you position yourself as the go-to-resource in your community for cutting-edge psychiatric care.

“I’m a conventional psychiatrist working in in a rural area where I oversee a large patient population. I’ve started doing some integrative work with these patients where medications weren’t helping or people were seeking more. I would recommend the IPI experience to providers who are just curious and trying to understand what resources are available…”

Helping Patients Breakthrough Resistance
Lisa Dion, MA, LPC
Patients with resistance to treatment often have self-defeating psychological structures which do not respond to conventional psychotherapy or even integrative treatment plans. Often overlooked and essential for behavioral changes is understanding what drives humans behavior and ultimately what influences a person’s ability to feel actively engaged and inspired in their lives. An innovative method to overcome this resistance will be explored.
